Power of Attorney (General and Private)

The General Delegation of Palestine certifies the General Power of Attorney (gives broad authorizations to the agent) and the private Power of Attorney (narrows what choices the agent can make)

Private Power of Attorney:

A Private Power of Attorney is one that is limited to a specified act or type of act, and therefore the legal text must be provided by the applicant for certification as per the following process:

To apply for a Private Power of Attorney (POA) you need to provide the Consular Section of the General Delegation of Palestine with the legal draft of your POA in word document to be placed on the Delegation’s letterhead and sent back to you. Print the modified POA, complete it, and forward it to the Palestinian Delegation with the following documents:

  • Complete the Consular Service Registration Form
  • A cover letter or email outlining the request for the Private Power of Attorney
  • A JP-certified copy of the first two pages of the applicant's passport clearly showing the photo, full name and passport number of the applicant
  • AJP-certified copy of another form of photo ID e.g. driving license
  • A copy of the authorized person’s ID
  • Payment of $50.00 in the form of a money order/Cheque or money transfer made out to the General Palestinian Delegation.
  • For money transfer use the following account:

 Forward these documents to the Consular Section of the General Delegation of Palestine, P.O Box: 4646, Kingston, ACT 2604 using an Australia/NZ Post Express envelope. You must enclose a self-addressed Australia/NZ Post Express envelope, for the return of the documents to the applicant.
