Statehood and Final Status Issues

Palestine is working for peaceful self-determination through:

  1. Bilateral negotiations with Israel to resolve Final Status Issues
  2. Building the institutions of state to ensure stable government for Palestinian people
  3. Recognition of statehood in order that Palestine takes is proper place within the international community and exercise its rights and responsibilities in the international arena.

 

Palestinian Liberation Organisation Negotiations Affairs Department
The Negotiations Affairs Department produces information, reports and media material to support negotiations Palestine's negotiating positions and to accurately inform the international community about the on-the-ground realities of life under occupation. The material produced by the Negotiations Affairs Department is drawn from a departmental research, United Nations sources and human rights organisations and focuses on the Final Status Issues of:

Palestine Monitoring Group Reports
The Palestine Monitoring Group which is part of the Negotiations Affairs Department, was established in 2003, monitors ground conditions in the West Bank and Gaza.
The Monitoring Group produces daily, monthly and special reports which collate facts on hostile and obstructive Israeli activities in these areas. Reports include information and figures on actions such as assassination attempts, home demolitions, home occupations, flying checkpoints, crossing checkpoints, settler violence, raids and attacks on religious sites.
