 The General Delegation of Palestine in conjunction with Mr Rami Meo, exhibited a collection of archival photographs of Jerusalem. The highly successful exhibition opened by Ambassador Abdulhadi and Joy Burch MLA, was attended by the arts community, the Palestinian community, Diplomatic Corp and Canberra-based academics.

 

     
   
     

 

Visit to Australia of Special Envoy Dr Ghassan Khatib 1 August - 3 August 2011
Dr Ghassan Khatib, Director of the Palestinian Government Media Centre and Special Envoy of President Mahmoud Abbas, visited Australia and New Zealand between 1 August and 5 August to discuss Palestinian statehood with Australian and New Zealand political and community leaders.

 

 

     
   
     


Reception to Meet and Welcome Palestinian Law Deans 25 September 2011
The General Delegation of Palestine welcomed 5 Law Deans from Law Schools at West Bank Universities, during their visit to Australia to study legal education. The General Delegation was privileged to welcome representatives of the Arab Ambassador's Council, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, AusAid, the Attorney General's Department, Australian National University, the Legal Profession and the Palestinian Community in Canberra.

 

     
   
     

 

National Day Celebrations - 9 November and 23 November 2011
National Day celebrations were held in the New South Wales and the Victorian Parliament, with each event strongly supported by the Palestinian community and civil society groups. The celebrations were held under the auspices of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups and the General Delegation of Palestine.
