The Palestinian community in Canberra and their friends gathered once again on Saturday July 1st !

This time it was to celebrate the Eid El Fitr.
A scrumptious dinner followed by a smorgasbord of desserts was served, thanks to the families who each brought a dish to share.
“Amo Eid” passed out Eid gifts to the children who were overjoyed with their presents. The kids enjoyed decorating cupcakes, while the teens volunteered to do face painting for the younger ones and an entertainer played games with the children after dinner.
It was a great evening and many more are in the planning process by the CPC organizing committee which has worked hard to arrange these functions for the community.
It is worth mentioning that representatives of the Palestinian Embassy attended the event in support and solidarity with the community.
