Dr. Ashrawi on the terrorist act in Manchester
RAMALLAH, PALESTINE (May 23, 2017) -- “On behalf of the Palestinian leadership, we strongly denounce last night’s terrorist attack in Manchester in which twenty-two people, including children, were killed, and at least sixty people were injured.
PLO Executive Committee Member Dr. Hanan Ashrawi made these comments in a phone conversation with British Consul General Alastair McPhail.
She continued, “We, the people of Palestine, stand in solidarity with the British people and convey our deepest condolences and sympathies to the victims and their families and loved ones who have been affected by such a tragic and senseless event.”
“We also affirm our firm commitment to nonviolence and are against all kinds of terrorism and the targeting of innocent civilians.”
