On behalf of the General Delegation of Palestine to Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, I would like to extend my warmest greetings on the occasion of the Islamic Hijri New Year and wish all the Muslim communities in Australia and New Zealand a Happy New Year full of peace, harmony and prosperity.
It is an occasion to reiterate our commitment to the fundamental principles of Islam which are based on tolerance, forgiveness, respect, cohesion and mercy.
