Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh today called on the countries that announced their temporary freeze of new financial assistance for UNRWA, the primary provider of humanitarian assistance to people in Gaza, to reverse their decision.

The State of Palestine welcomes the provisional measures ordered by the International Court of Justice today. States now have clear legal obligations to stop Israel’s genocidal war on the Palestinian people in Gaza and to make sure that they are not complicit.

The State of Palestine rejects and condemns the latest statements made by Israel's Prime Minister pledging to continue the genocidal war in defiance of both the international community and the role of the International Court of Justice.

In the wake of a hundred days marked by relentless killings, destruction, and despair, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu refuses to halt the war on Gaza. Facing charges of genocide by the International Court of Justice, Netanyahu defiantly declares, "No one will stop us, neither The Hague nor anyone else."

As we near 100 days of Israel’s criminal onslaught against the Palestinian civilian population under its occupation, we are nearing a horrific toll of 100,000 Palestinian casualties. And still, there is no ceasefire, leading to more innocent victims by the day. No one should be fooled by Israel’s claims of sparing civilian lives; the facts speak for themselves.

South Africa has asked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to order the occupying state of Israel to immediately stop its wanton genocide campaign in Gaza.
The demand came at the closing of the first day of hearings of a case brought by South Africa against Israel at the ICJ.

Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor: Israel’s intensification of its military assaults on the Gaza Strip’s shelter centres is part of a declared effort to carry out its displacement plans against the Gazan people, give them the impression that there is nowhere safe for them to live within the Strip, and worsen their suffering amid the genocide that has been ongoing since 7 October

Human Rights Watch: the Israeli government is using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare in the Gaza Strip, which is a war crime. Israeli officials have made public statements expressing their aim to deprive civilians in Gaza of food, water, and fuel – statements reflected in Israeli forces’ military operations. The Israeli government should not attack objects necessary for the survival of the civilian population, lift its blockade of the Gaza Strip, and restore electricity and water.

The Security Council's failure to demand an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, due to the veto cast by the United States, has permitted the Israeli war machine to carry on with its slaughter of Palestinian civilians with total impunity. Once again, Israel interprets this shielding as a license to kill, committing more atrocities and horrors against Palestinian civilians at a scope and scale shocking humanity.
