Who We Are

The mission of the General Delegation of Palestine (GDOP) is to provide diplomatic representation, to foster constructive and positive bilateral and multilateral relationships, and to raise government and public awareness of Palestinian history, society and current political realities. This mission is achieved by strengthening relationships between the government and the people of Palestine and the government and the people of Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, Timor-Leste, Vanuatu, and other Pacific Nations. These relationships are reinforced through political consultations and discussions, aid and development assistance and cooperation, trade and commerce, education initiatives and public advocacy for Palestinian rights and Self-Determination. It is our hope that the outcome of this diplomatic process will secure and guarantee the recognition of the State of Palestine by the Australian, Aotearoa New Zealand and Pacific Governments.
