Candlelight Vigil for Al Nakba

The Ambassador and Embassy staff organized a Candlelight Vigil for Al Nakba in Canberra on May 16, attended by hundreds of Canberrans in solidarity with the Palestinian people enduring continuous Nakba.
Ambassador Abdulhadi spoke passionately at the vigil, as did Palestinian youth, and a representative from solidarity group, Australians for Justice and Peace in Palestine. In particular, the Ambassador emphasised the importance of ongoing advocacy in support of the Palestinian cause.
