Responding to Israeli Assaults on Worshippers and Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Embassy did the following:

  • Wrote and sent 15 letters to the Foreign Ministers of Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, the Republic of Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Cook Islands, the Republic of Fiji, the Republic of Kiribati, the Republic of Nauru, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, the Kingdom of Tonga, and Tuvalu, outlining the situation and urging them to uphold their responsibility to provide immediate protection to the Palestinian people and hold Israel accountable for its war crimes and crimes against humanity, in accordance with international law and relevant UN Resolutions. 
  • The Council of Arab Ambassadors also sent letters to Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne and Aotearoa New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta about the emergency situation. Ambassador Abdulhadi is the General Secretary of the Council of Arab Ambassadors.
  • Ambassador Abdulhadi was interviewed by SBS Arabic [Click Here].
  • On April 28, Ambassador Abdulhadi, Vice-President of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Heads of Mission Group in Canberra, attended a special meeting of the OIC Steering Committee that was called to discuss the emergency situation.
