Sydney-based Community Members from Gaza visit the Palestinian Embassy in Canberra
The General Delegation of Palestine in Canberra was pleased to host a group of 35+ members of our Palestinian community from Gaza, who recently came to Australia during Israel's genocidal war.
The Chargé d’Affaires of the State of Palestine, First Counsellor Ms Noura Saleh, welcomed the delegation to the Palestinian Embassy, expressing appreciation for their resilience and reaffirming the Embassy’s commitment to continue providing support (including consular services) for our Palestinian community members – particularly recent arrivals.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all who visited us. It was an emotional gathering to hear from our Sydney-based community, listen to their challenges and experiences, and to spend quality time together as one community.
We look forward to continuing to strengthen the bonds between the Embassy and all our Palestinian people across Australia.
The community's trip to the ACT was organised by the Palestinian Australians Welfare Association (PAWA).
