Establishing a Parliamentary Friends of Palestine at Queensland Parliament is progressing
Ambassador Abdulhadi met with Mr Peter Russo MP to discuss the establishment of Parliamentary Friends of Palestine committee at the Queensland Parliament. It has been agreed to launch the Friendship Group on November 28, a day before the observation of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
Peace and Dialogue Iftar Dinner at Queensland Parliament
The Queensland Intercultural Society has organized Iftar dinner at the QLD Parliament on June 15 under the theme "promoting peace and dialogue among all elements of the Australian wider Society". The Iftar was attended by the Premier of Queensland, Members of Parliament, representatives from various faiths, academics among others.
Social Harmony Iftar Dinner in Canberra
Invited by Bluestar Intercultural Center in Canberra, Ambassador Izzat Abdulhadi has participated in the Annual Bluestar’s Social Harmony Iftar Dinner. Being part of the tradition, this annual event has been co-hosted by Bluestar Intercultural Centre and the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture.
Fundraising for Fiji's Cyclone, disaster relief

Farewell Luncheon for Eleanor Kay as she concluded her internship program
The Staff at the Palestinian Embassy in Canberra organized a farewell lunch for Ms Eleanor Kay, ANU student, who has just concluded her internship period at the Embassy. Ms Kay has produced an excellent report on the relevancy of the Australian Aid to Palestine development.
