Condemning Israeli occupation aggression against Jenin

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the occupation's aggression against Jenin
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine condemns the ongoing aggression by the occupation against Jenin Governorate and its refugee camp, including the displacement of families from the camp, collective punishment, the destruction of infrastructure, extrajudicial executions, and the accompanying vandalism of citizens’ property. The Ministry views these actions as part of an official Israeli plan aimed at entrenching the occupation, imposing Israeli law, and gradually annexing the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. These actions are also a reflection of Israel's expansionist colonial settlement project.
The Ministry warns of the dangers resulting from the ruling Israeli right’s adoption of military and security solutions as a policy to prolong its grip on power. It also cautions against the use of security chaos to advance its colonial interests in the West Bank, and to evade the obligations of peace and negotiated political solutions to the conflict.
It has become evident that the Israeli government is manufacturing pretexts and justifications to perpetuate violence and thwart any opportunity to implement the international consensus on the two-state solution.
The Ministry reiterates that the occupation is exploiting the international community’s failure to enforce resolutions of international legitimacy related to the Palestinian cause in order to intensify settlement activity and alter the political, historical, and legal realities in the West Bank for colonial and racist purposes.
The Ministry calls on the UN Security Council to assume its legal and moral responsibilities toward the suffering of our people. It urges the Council to break away from its traditional and routine approach to addressing the rights of our people and to take binding measures to compel the occupying state to comply with international peace efforts. This includes the immediate initiation of a genuine and serious political process that leads to ending the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine, which is the sole pathway to achieving security, stability, and prosperity in the region and the world.
