Palestinian Foreign Ministry Condemns Fiji’s Decision to Open an Embassy in Occupied Jerusalem; Considers it a Blatant Attack on the Palestinian People and their Just and Legitimate Rights
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine strongly condemns the Republic of Fiji’s move to officially open an embassy in occupied Jerusalem as an act of aggression against the Palestinian people, a flagrant violation of international law and relevant resolutions of international legitimacy, and a direct threat to prospects for implementing the two-state solution.
The Ministry affirms that all measures taken by Israel, the unlawful occupying power, in Jerusalem are null and void and illegitimate under international law.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry demands that Fiji immediately reconsider and revoke this unlawful decision and urges it to adhere to international law and the international will for peace.

تدين وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين بشدة إقدام جمهورية فيجي على فتح سفارة لها في القدس المحتلة، وتعتبره عدوان على الشعب الفلسطيني وخرق فاضح للقانون الدولي وقرارات الشرعية الدولية وتهديد مباشر لفرصة تطبيق حل الدولتين، وتؤكد على أن جميع إجراءات الاحتلال في القدس باطلة وغير شرعية وفقاً للقانون الدولي.
تطالب الوزارة فيجي بإعادة دراسة قرارها والتراجع عنه وتحثها على الالتزام بالقانون الدولي وإرادة السلام الدولية.
