Palestinian Foreign Ministry Strongly Condemns Netanyahu’s Attacks on France and Australia as Unjustifiable and Hostile to Peace
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine strongly condemns the attacks launched by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu against French President Emmanuel Macron and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
The Ministry affirms that conflating recognition of the State of Palestine with antisemitism and interfering in the internal affairs of France and Australia is unjustifiable, hostile to peace, and contrary to the international consensus on the principle of the two-state solution.
The Ministry considers the misleading narrative linking criticism of the Israeli occupation and its crimes, or support for the Palestinian people’s right to freedom and independence, with antisemitism or hatred toward Jews to be a worn-out, broken record that no longer fools anyone. It is employed by the ruling Israeli far-right government to sustain its unlawful occupation, justify its crimes of genocide, forced displacement, and annexation, and whitewash its flagrant violations of international law and United Nations resolutions.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on all states to confront Israel’s arrogant position, which is hostile to peace and to peaceful political solutions to the conflict. The Ministry further calls for immediate recognition of the State of Palestine, whether collectively or individually, as a means of safeguarding the two-state solution and preserving the credibility of international law, international legitimacy, and its institutions.

تستنكر وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين بشدة الهجوم الذي شنه رئيس وزراء الاحتلال نتنياهو ضد الرئيس الفرنسي ايمانويل ماكرون، ورئيس وزراء استراليا أنتوني ألبانيز. تؤكد الوزارة أن الربط بين الاعتراف بدولة فلسطين بمعاداة السامية والتدخل في الشؤون الداخلية للدولتين، غير مبرر ومعاد للسلام وللاجماع الدولي على مبدأ حل الدولتين.
ترى الوزارة أن اسطوانة الخلط بين انتقاد الاحتلال الاسرائيلي وجرائمه أو تأييد حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني بالحرية والاستقلال وبين معاداة السامية أو كراهية اليهود باتت مشروخة ومكشوفة ولا تنطلي على أحد، ويوظفها اليمين الاسرائيلي الحاكم لحماية الاحتلال وتبرير جرائم الإبادة والتهجير والضم، وتجميل تمرده على القانون الدولي وقرارات الأمم المتحدة.
تدعو الوزارة الدول كافة لمواجهة هذا الصلف الإسرائيلي المعادي للسلام والحلول السياسية للصراع، وتطالب بسرعة الاعتراف الدولي الجماعي أو الفردي بدولة فلسطين حماية لحل الدولتين ودفاعاً عن القانون الدولي ومصداقية الشرعية الدولية ومؤسساتها.
