Palestinian Foreign Ministry Condemns Israel’s Approval of Independent Settlement Status for 13 Colonial Settlement “Neighbourhoods” as a Mockery of International Legitimacy
Also Condemns the Establishment of an Israeli Military Administration to Facilitate the Forced Displacement of Palestinians from Gaza Strip
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine condemns the Israeli Cabinet’s decision to separate 13 colonial settlement “neighborhoods” and designate them as fully-fledged independent settlements. The Ministry also strongly condemns the statements by Israeli officials following the decision which openly boast that this move is a step towards the full annexation of the West Bank.
In the same context, the Ministry views with grave concern the Israeli Cabinet’s approval to establish a new military administration aimed at facilitating the forced displacement of the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip, under the false pretext of “voluntary emigration for residents interested in relocating to third countries.”
The Ministry believes that the deepening and expansion of illegal settlement activity is directly linked to ongoing Israeli aggression and crimes of demolition and forced displacement occurring in the occupied West Bank, particularly its northern areas. This is accompanied by an unprecedented escalation in the confiscation of Palestinian land, the displacement of Bedouin communities, and the expansion of settler grazing outposts across several areas of the West Bank – especially in Masafer Yatta and the Jordan Valley – while the genocidal war and forced displacement against our people in the Gaza Strip continues.
The Ministry stresses that the Israeli government’s persistent violations and aggression against the Palestinian people, their land, and their legitimate rights require all states to reassess their positions and the effectiveness of their influence over the Israeli occupation government, and to evaluate the extent of Israel’s compliance with international law and relevant resolutions of international legitimacy.
The Ministry renews its call for the imposition of effective and deterrent sanctions to compel the Israeli government to end its genocidal war, forced displacement, and annexation, and to submit to the international will for permanent peace.

تدين إنشاء إدارة إسرائيلية عسكرية لتسهيل تهجير شعبنا من القطاع
تدين وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين مصادقة "الكابينت" الإسرائيلي على فصل 13 حي استيطاني عن المستوطنات والاعتراف بها كمستوطنات استعمارية مستقلة، كما تدين بشدة التصريحات الإسرائيلية التي أعقبت هذا القرار وتفاخرت بأنه خطوة على طريق ضم الضفة الغربية.
في السياق ذاته، تنظر الوزارة بخطورة بالغة لمصادقة "الكابينت" الإسرائيلي أيضاً على إنشاء إدارة عسكرية لتسهيل تهجير أبناء شعبنا من قطاع غزة تحت شعار (الانتقال الطوعي لمن يرغب من السكان).
ترى الوزارة أن تعميق الاستيطان وتوسيعه يرتبط بما تتعرض له الضفة المحتلة من عدوان وجرائم الهدم والترحيل القسري خاصة في شمال الضفة، ويترافق مع تصعيد غير مسبوق في مصادرة الأرض الفلسطينية وتهجير التجمعات البدوية وتوسيع دائرة الاستيطان الرعوي في عديد المناطق في الضفة خصوصا مسافر يطا والأغوار، في وقت تتواصل فيه حرب الإبادة والتهجير ضد شعبنا في قطاع غزة.
تشدد الوزارة على أن إمعان الحكومة الإسرائيلية في جرائمها وعدوانها ضد شعبنا وأرضه وحقوقه يستوجب على مختلف الدول مراجعة مواقفها وجدواها في التأثير على حكومة الاحتلال، ومدى انصياعها للقرارات الدولية، كما تجدد الوزارة مطالبتها بفرض عقوبات رادعة تجبر حكومة الاحتلال على وقف حرب الإبادة والتهجير والضم، والانصياع لإرادة السلام الدولية.
