Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Israeli Massacre Targeting Children and Women at Dar Al-Arqam School in Gaza Strip Constitutes a War Crime; Demands Immediate Accountability and International Protection for Palestinian Civilians
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine strongly condemns the ongoing massacres committed by Israeli occupation forces against unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The most recent of these atrocities was the horrific massacre at Dar Al-Arqam School, which was serving as a shelter for displaced civilians.
According to preliminary figures, the Israeli massacre resulted in the killing of more than 29 people, the majority of them children and women, and the injury of over 100 others.
Many of the deceased victims’ bodies arrived at hospitals severely mutilated and charred, as a result of the savagery of the Israeli bombardment.
The Ministry once again expresses its deep condemnation of the international community’s failure to stop the Israeli aggression and protect civilians, and of its continued tolerance and normalisation of Israel’s genocidal war, forced displacement of the Palestinian people, and the annexation of their land.
It further condemns the systematic efforts to erase and eliminate the Palestinian people’s just and legitimate rights, and considers the ongoing international silence and inaction to have reached the level of active complicity.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry warns of the grave consequences of this continued international failure, and the threat it poses to the security and stability of both the region and the world.

تدين وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين بأشد العبارات مجازر الاحتلال المتواصلة ضد المدنيين العزل في قطاع غزة، والتي كان آخرها المجزرة البشعة في مدرسة دار الأرقم بغزة التي تؤوي نازحين والتي خلفت في احصائية أولية أكثر من ٢٩ شهيداً غالبيتهم من الاطفال والنساء، وصلت العديد من الجثث مقطعة ومتفحمة من وحشية القصف، إضافة إلى أكثر من ١٠٠ مصاب.
تعبر الوزارة مجدداً عن استنكارها الشديد لتقاعس المجتمع الدولي عن وقف العدوان وحماية المدنيين، وتعايشه مع إبادة وتهجير شعبنا وضم أرضه ومحاولة شطب وتصفية حقوقه العادلة والمشروعة، وترى أنها بلغت حد التواطؤ، وتحذر من المخاطر المترتبة على استمرارها وتهديدها لأمن واستقرار المنطقة والعالم.
