President of the State of Palestine in address to 80th Session of UN General Assembly: There will be no peace without justice, and no justice without Palestine’s liberation.

President Mahmoud Abbas, addressing the 80th session of the UN General Assembly via video call after the US' visa refusal, stressed that, “there will be no peace without justice, and no justice without Palestine’s liberation.” In this speech, the President of the State of Palestine:
- Affirms the imperative for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, unconditional delivery of aid, and an end to the use of starvation as a weapon;
- Calls for full withdrawal of occupation forces from Gaza, rejection of displacement and annexation plans, end to colonial settlement expansion, colonists’ terrorism, and attacks on holy sites;
- Calls for Palestine to fully assume responsibilities in Gaza with Arab and international support, and to implement the recovery and reconstruction plan;
- Affirms readiness to work with U.S. President Donald Trump, Saudi Arabia, France, the UN, and all partners to implement the peace plan approved at the September 22 conference;
- Condemns Hamas’ October 7 attacks targeting Israeli civilians;
- Stresses Hamas will have no role in governance, must surrender weapons; we do not want an armed state;
- Declares that presidential and parliamentary elections will be held within a year after the end of Israel's genocidal war;
- Confirms that educational curricula will be developed according to UNESCO standards within two years, unified social welfare system established, payments to families of prisoners and martyrs abolished, system ready for auditing;
- Affirms Gaza is an integral part of the State of Palestine; the State of Palestine is ready to assume full responsibility for governance and security there;
- Recalls that Israel has violated signed agreements and systematically undermined the Palestinian Authority including by unlawfully withholding tax revenues;
- Urges all countries that have not recognized the State of Palestine to do so, and calls for support of its full UN membership;
- Rejects antisemitism and further rejects any conflation between antisemitism and solidarity with Palestine; and
- Affirms the State of Palestine's commitment to peaceful, legal, and diplomatic struggle until the rights of the Palestinian people are secured.
Full Speech of H.E. President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine, before the UNGA on 25 September 2025:
H.E. Annalena Baerbock, President of the General Assembly,
H.E. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations,
Excellencies, distinguished Heads of State and delegations,
Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
I speak to you today after nearly two years in which our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip have been facing a genocidal war of extermination, destruction, starvation, and displacement waged by the Israeli occupation forces.
This war has killed and wounded more than 220,000 Palestinians, the majority of them children, women, and elderly civilians, displaced hundreds of thousands, prevented the delivery of food and medicine, and starved two million Palestinians.
A suffocating siege has been imposed on an entire people, destroying more than 80% of homes, schools, hospitals, churches, mosques, and infrastructure.
What Israel is carrying out is not just aggression—it is a war crime and a crime against humanity, documented and monitored, and it will be recorded in history books and in the conscience of humanity as one of the most horrific chapters of human tragedy in the 20th and 21st centuries.
In the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Palestine, the extremist Israeli government continues implementing colonial policies through illegal settlement expansion and annexation projects— the latest being the construction plan in E1 which divides the West Bank, isolates occupied Jerusalem from its surroundings, and destroys the two-state solution in blatant violation of international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2334.
This is in addition to the Israeli Prime Minister’s announcement of his so-called “Greater Israel” plan, which we categorically reject and condemn in the strongest terms, as it includes expansion into sovereign Arab states.
We also condemn the recent brutal attack against the sisterly State of Qatar, which we consider an extremely dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of international law requiring decisive intervention and deterrent measures against such expansionist schemes.
With official encouragement and growing impunity, settler terrorism is escalating: settlers burn homes and fields, uproot trees, attack villages, assault unarmed Palestinian civilians, and even kill them in broad daylight under the protection of the Israeli army.
Holy places—Muslim and Christian alike—in Jerusalem, Hebron and the rest of the West Bank, and in the Gaza Strip have not been spared from assaults and violations, targeting mosques, churches, and cemeteries in a blatant transgression of the legal and historical status quo and in clear violation of international law.
Despite all that our people have suffered, we reject what Hamas carried out on October 7th—acts that targeted Israeli civilians and took them as hostages—because such actions do not represent the Palestinian people nor their just struggle for freedom and independence.
We have affirmed—and will continue to affirm—that Gaza is an integral part of the State of Palestine, and that we are ready to assume full responsibility for governance and security there.
Hamas will have no role in governance, and it, along with other factions, must hand over its weapons to the Palestinian National Authority within the framework of building the institutions of one state, one law, and one legitimate security force.
We reiterate that we do not want an armed state.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Our wounds are deep, our catastrophe immense. Seven million Palestinians still endure the trauma of the Nakba and displacement since 1948. Our people in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and in Gaza continue to suffer decades of occupation and aggression: killings, arrests, settlement expansion, theft of land and resources, without deterrent or accountability.
For decades, our people have endured oppression and dispossession while the occupier is shielded and empowered instead of the occupied being protected.
Their right to self-determination, freedom, dignity, independence, and sovereignty over the land of the State of Palestine occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, continues to be denied.
More than a thousand UN resolutions remain unimplemented, and numerous international initiatives and efforts have failed to bring an end to this tragic situation which the Palestinian people are enduring under occupation.
In 1993, we signed a peace agreement.
We fulfilled all our obligations: we recognized the State of Israel, Israel recognized the PLO as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, we restructured our institutions, amended our National Charter, renounced violence and terrorism, adopted the culture of peace, and worked tirelessly to build modern Palestinian state institutions to live side by side in peace and security with Israel.
But Israel failed to honor its commitments and systematically undermined the signed agreements.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Just three days ago, we gathered in a high-level international conference in New York, co-chaired by France and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with broad international participation and unified positions reflecting a genuine global will to end this historic conflict through recognition of the State of Palestine, ending the occupation, and restoring hope to both Palestinians and Israelis.
Here, on behalf of the Palestinian people, I extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to all the states that have recently recognized the State of Palestine and those preparing to do so soon.
We call upon all states that have not yet recognized Palestine to do so, and we demand support for Palestine’s full UN membership.
It must be recalled that we already recognized Israel’s right to exist in 1988 and again in 1993, and we continue to do so.
In this regard, we thank France, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Portugal, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, San Marino, Andorra, and Denmark for their recognition.
We also thank the 149 states that previously recognized Palestine.
Our people will never forget this noble stance.
We also highly commend the crucial leadership of the conference’s co-chairs, Saudi Arabia and France, as well as the United Kingdom, and thank all states that chaired working groups, participated, and continue to participate in the International Coalition for Peace.
Our thanks also go to all states supporting our efforts to stop the genocide, end the occupation, and achieve peace.
We deeply value the peoples and organizations worldwide that have demonstrated in solidarity with the Palestinian people’s rights to freedom and independence and to end war, destruction, and starvation.
We reject any conflation between solidarity with Palestine and antisemitism, which we categorically reject based on our values and principles.
In light of the international peace conference’s outcomes, we reaffirm today before the General Assembly the following:
1. The imperative of the immediate and permanent cessation of the war in Gaza.
2. The unconditional delivery of humanitarian aid through UN agencies, including UNRWA, and an end to the use of starvation as a weapon. We thank all sister and friendly states and organizations sending aid.
3. The release of all hostages and prisoners on both sides.
4. The full withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Gaza; rejection of displacement schemes; cessation of settlement activity and settler terrorism; halting the theft of Palestinian land and property under annexation pretexts; and stopping violations of the historical and legal status of holy sites—all unilateral actions that undermine the two-state solution in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.
5. The State of Palestine assuming full responsibilities, beginning with the Administrative Committee for Gaza, chaired by a minister in the Palestinian government, to manage the sector temporarily and link it to the West Bank, with Arab and international support to protect civilians in Gaza, and support for Palestinian security forces under UN auspices—not as a replacement.
6. Guaranteeing that Gaza’s residents remain in their land without displacement, and implementing a recovery and reconstruction plan in both Gaza and the West Bank.
7. The release of Palestinian tax revenues illegally withheld by Israel, lifting of barriers, and ending the economic siege imposed on Palestinian towns, villages, and refugee camps.
8. Support for our national reform efforts, and holding presidential and parliamentary elections within one year after the war’s end. Practical steps have begun, including the formation of a temporary constitutional drafting committee to complete its work within three months, enabling the transition from authority to statehood. We want a modern democratic state committed to international law, rule of law, pluralism, peaceful transfer of power, and empowering women and youth. We will develop the educational curricula in accordance with UNESCO standards within two years, and we have established a unified social welfare system, abolishing the previous system of payments to the families of prisoners and martyrs, which is now ready for auditing.
9. We declare our readiness to work with US President Donald Trump, with Saudi Arabia, France, the United Nations, and all partners to implement the peace plan adopted at the September 22 conference, paving the way to a just peace and comprehensive regional cooperation.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We say it clearly today: there will be no peace without justice, and no justice without Palestine’s liberation.
We want to live in freedom, security, and peace like all other peoples of the earth—in an independent, sovereign state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, living in peace with our neighbors.
We want a modern civil state free of violence, weapons, and extremism, that respects law and human rights, and that invests in people, development, technology, and education—not in wars and conflicts.
The time has come for the international community to grant justice to the Palestinian people, so they may achieve their legitimate rights and break free from occupation.
Our people must no longer remain hostage to the whims of Israeli politics that continue to deny our basic rights and perpetuate oppression, injustice, and aggression.
We will continue along our path, pursuing peaceful, legal, and diplomatic struggle until we secure our rights.
Finally, we say to our sons and daughters in the homeland and in exile: however deep our wounds, however long our suffering, they will not break our will to live and endure. The dawn of freedom will rise, and the flag of Palestine will fly high in our skies, symbolizing dignity, resilience, and liberation from occupation.
Palestine is ours, and Jerusalem is the jewel of our hearts and our eternal capital.
We will not abandon our homeland, we will not leave our land.
Our people will remain rooted like the olive tree, steadfast as rock, rising from beneath the rubble to rebuild anew, and sending from their blessed land messages of hope, the voice of truth, and bridges of just peace to the peoples of our region and to the world at large.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته،
أتحدثُ إليكمُ اليومَ، بعدَ مرورِ قُرابةِ عامينِ يواجهُ فيها شعبُنا الفلسطينيُ في قطاع ِغزةَ حربَ إبادةٍ جماعيةٍ وتدميرٍ وتجويع ٍوتهجير ٍتشنُها قواتُ الاحتلالِ الإسرائيلي، قتلتْ وجرحتْ خلاَلها أكثرَ من مائتين وعشرين ألفِ فلسطيني، غالبيتُهم منَ الأطفالِ والنساءِ والشيوخِ العُزّل، وشرّدتْ مئاتِ الآلاف، ومنعتْ وصولَ الموادِ الغذائيةِ والطبية، وتسببتْ في تجويع ِمليوني فلسطيني.
وفرضتْ حصاراً خانقاً على شعب ٍ بأكمِله، ودمرتْ أكثر منْ 80 بالمائةِ من البيوتِ والمدارسِ والمستشفياتِ والكنائسِ والمساجدِ والمرافقِ والبنيةِ التحتية.
إنّ ما تقومُ به إسرائيلُ ليسَ مجردَ عدوانٍ، بل جريمةُ حربٍ وجريمةٌ ضدَ الإنسانيةِ مُوثقةٌ ومرصودة، وستسجلُها كتبُ التاريخِ وصحفُ الضميرِ العالمي ِكأحدِ أكثرِ فصولِ المأساةِ الإنسانيةِ فظاعةً في القرنينِ العشرينِ والحادي والعشرين.
وفي الضفةِ الغربية، بما فيها القدسُ الشرقية، عاصمةُ دولةِ فلسطينَ، تَمضي الحكومةُ الإسرائيليةُ المتطرفةُ في تنفيذِ سياساتِها الاستعمارية، عبر التوسع الاستيطاني غير القانوني، ووضع ِمشاريعَ لضم ِالمستوطنات، كان آخرها خطة البناءِ في (E1) التي تقسمُ الضفةَ الغربيةَ إلى قسمين، وتعزلُ القدسَ المحتلةَ عنْ محيطِها، وتقوضُ خيارَ حلِ الدولتين، في انتهاكٍ صارخٍ للقانونِ الدولي ِولقراراتِ مجلسِ الأمنِ ذاتِ الصلة، وعلى رأسِها القرارُ 2334.
هذا علاوةً على إعلانِ رئيسِ الوزراءِ الإسرائيلي عن خطةِ ما يُسميهِ "إسرائيل الكبرى" التي نرفضُها ونستنكُرها أشدَ استنكار، والتي تشملُ التوسعَ في دول ٍعربية ٍذاتِ سيادة، فضلا عنِ الهجومِ الغاشمِ على دولةِ قطرَ الشقيقة والذي نُدينه ونعتبرهُ تصعيداً في غايةِ الخطورِة وانتهاكاً صارخاً للقانونِ الدولي ِويتطلبُ تدخلاً حاسماً وإجراءاتٍ رادعةً لمثلِ هذِه المخططاتِ التوسعية.
وبدعمٍ رسمي ٍ وتسهيلات ٍ متزايدة، يتنامى إرهابُ المستوطنين، الذين يَحرقونَ البيوتَ والحقول، ويقتلعونَ الأشجار، ويهاجمونَ القرى، ويعتدونَ على المدنيينَ الفلسطينييَن العُزّل، بل ويقتلونَهم في وضح ِالنهارِ تحتَ حمايةِ جيشِ الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.
إلى جانبِ ذلك، لم تسلمِ الأماكنُ الدينيةُ الإسلاميةُ والمسيحيةُ في القدسِ والخليل وباقي أنحاء الضفةِ الغربيةِ وقطاع ِغزةَ من الاعتداءاتِ والانتهاكات، التي طالتْ حرمةَ المساجدِ والكنائسِ والمقابر، في تعدٍ سافرٍ على الوضعِ التاريخي ِوالقانوني ِالقائم، وفي مخالفةٍ صريحةٍ لأحكامِ القانونِ الدولي.
ورَغمَ كلِّ ما عاناه شعبُنا، فإننا نرفضُ ما قامتْ به حركةُ حماس في السابع ِمن أكتوبر منْ أعمالٍ استهدفتِ المدنيينَ الإسرائيليين، وأخذِهم رهائن، لأنَّ هذهِ الأفعالَ لا تمثلُ الشعبَ الفلسطينيَ ولا نضالَه العادلَ منْ أجلِ الحريةِ والاستقلال.
وقْد أكدّنا – وسنظلُ نؤكدُ – أنّ قطاعَ غزةَ جزءٌ لا يتجزأُ منْ دولةِ فلسطين، وأننا مستعدونَ لتحُّملِ كاملِ المسؤوليةِ عنِ الحكم ِوالأمن ِفيه، ولنْ يكونَ لحماسَ دورٌ في الحكم، حيثُ يتوجبُ عليها وغيرهِا منَ الفصائلِ تسليمُ سلاحِها للسلطةِ الوطنيةِ الفلسطينيةِ في إطارِ عمليةِ التوجُّهِ لبناءِ مؤسساتِ الدولةِ الواحدة، والقانونِ الواحد، وقوات الامنِ الشرعية ِالواحدة، مجددينَ التأكيدَ على أننا لا نريدُ دولةً مسلحة.
السيداتُ والسادة،
جراحُنا عميقة، وكارثتُنا كبيرة، ولا يزالَ سبعةُ ملايين منَ الفلسطينيين يعيشونَ ويلاتِ النكبةِ والتهجيرِ منذُ العام 1948، ولا يزالَ شعبُنا في الضفةِ الغربيةِ بما فيها القُدس الشرقية، وقطاع غزة، يعيشُ مآسي العدوانِ والاحتلالِ الاسرائيلي منذُ عشرات السنين.
سنواتٌ يعيشُها شعبُنا تحتَ الاحتلالِ والقتلِ والاعتقالاتِ والاستيطانِ وسرقةِ الأموالِ والممتلكاتِ والأرضِ، ولازالت مستمرةً دونَ رادعٍ أو حسيب.
سنواتٌ من القهرِ والحرمانِ وحمايةِ المحتلِ وتمكينِه بدلاً منْ حمايةِ الشعب ِالواقع ِتحتَ الاحتلال، والمزيدِ من الانتهاكاتِ لحقوقِ شعبِنا الفلسطيني ِفي تقريرِ مصيره ِفي الحريةِ والكرامةِ والاستقلالِ والسيادةِ على أرضِ دولةِ فلسطينَ المحتلةِ منذُ العام 1967، بما فيها القدسُ الشرقية.
أكثرُ منْ ألفِ قرارٍ في الأممِ المتحدةِ، لم ينفذ أي واحدٍ منها، والعديدِ منَ الجهودِ والمبادراتِ الدولية، دونَ الوصولِ إلى نهايةٍ لهذا الوضعِ المأساوي ِالذي يعيشهُ الشعبُ الفلسطينيُ تحتَ نيرِ الاحتلال.
وفي عام 1993، وقّعنا اتفاقَ سلامٍ، والتزْمنا بكلِ بنوده، واعترْفنا بدولةِ إسرائيل، واعترفتْ إسرائيلُ بمنظمةِ التحريرِ الفلسطينية ممثلاً شرعياً ووحيداً للشعب الفلسطيني، وأعدْنا هيكلةَ مؤسساتِنا، وعَدَّلنْا ميثاقَنا الوطني، ونبذْنا العنفَ والإرهاب، واعتمدْنا ثقافةَ السلام، وبذلْنا كلَّ جُهدٍ لبناءِ مؤسساتِ دولةٍ فلسطينيةٍ عصريةٍ، تعيشُ جنباً إلى جنب ٍفي أمن ٍوسلامٍ مع إسرائيل، ولكنَّ إسرائيلَ لمَ تلتزمْ بالاتفاقياتِ الموقعةِ، وعَملِتْ بشكلٍ ممنهجٍ على تقويضِها.
السيدات والسادة،
قبلَ ثلاثةِ أيامٍ فقط، اجتمْعنا في مؤتمرٍ دولي ٍرفيع ِالمستوى في نيويورك، تحتَ الرئاسةِ المشتركةِ لفرنسا والمملكةِ العربيةِ السعودية، بحضور ٍدولي ٍواسع ٍومواقفَ موحدةٍ عبّرتْ عن إرادةٍ دوليةٍ حقيقيةٍ لوضع حدٍ لهذا الصراعِ التاريخي، عبرَ الاعتراف بدولة فلسطين، وإنهاءِالاحتلال، وإعادةِ الأملِ للشعبينَ الفلسطيني والإسرائيلي.
وأود هاهنا أنْ أُعبرَ باسمِ الشعبِ الفلسطيني ِعنْ بالغِ التقديرِ والعرفانِ لجميع الدولِ التي اعترفتْ مؤخراً بدولةِ فلسطين، وتلكَ التي تنوي الاعترافَ في وقتٍ قريب، ونحثُ جميعَ الدولِ التي لم تعترفْ أنْ تقومَ بذلك، ونطالب بدعم حصول فلسطين على العضوية الكاملة في الأمم المتحدة. علما بأننا سبق وأن اعترفنا بحق إسرائيل في الوجود في 1988 و1993 ولازلنا تعترف بها.
وفي هذا الصدد، نشكر كلاً من فرنسا، وبريطانيا، وكندا، وأستراليا، وبلجيكا، والبرتغال، ولوكسمبورغ، ومالطا، وموناكو، وسان مارينو، وأندورا والدنمارك على هذا الاعتراف.
والشكرُ لجميع الدولِ الـ149 التي اعترفت سابقاً بدولة فلسطين، شعبُنا لنْ ينسى لكم هذا الموقفَ النبيل.
كما نشيد بالدور الكبير لرئاسةَ المؤتمرِ، المملكةَ العربيةَ السعوديةَ وفرنسا، وكذلك بريطانيا، والشكرُ موصولٌ لجميعِ الدولِ التي ترأستْ مجموعاتِ العملِ وتلكَ التي شاركتْ وتشاركُ في التحالفِ الدولي ِمنْ أجلِ السلام. كما نشكر الدول التي تساند جهودنا لوقف الإبادة الجماعية وإنهاء الاحتلال وتحقيق السلام.
ونُقّدرُ عالياً جميعَ الشعوب ِ والمنظماتِ حولَ العالمِ التي تظاهرتْ دعماً لحقوقِ الشعبِ الفلسطيني ِفي الحريةِ والاستقلال، ولوقفِ الحربِ والتدميرِ والتجويع. ونرفض الخلط بين التضامن مع القضية الفلسطينية ومسألة معاداة السامية، والتي نرفضها انطلاقاً من قيمنا ومبادئنا.
وفي إطارِ ترحيبِنا بما صدرَ عن المؤتمر الدولي للسلام، نجددُ اليومَ أمام الجمعية العامة تأكيدَنا على ما يلي:
1) ضرورةُ الوقفِ الفوري ِوالدائمِ للحربِ في غزة.
2) إدخالُ المساعداتِ الإنسانيةِ دونَ شروط منْ خلالِ منظماتِ الأممِ المتحدة بما فيها وكالةُ الأونروا، ووقفُ استخدامِ التجويعِ كسلاح. ونشكرُ في هذا الصدد، الدولَ والمنظماتِ الشقيقةَ والصديقةِ التي تُرسلُ المساعدات.
3) الإفراجُ عنْ جميعِ الرهائنِ والأسرى منَ الجانبين.
4) الانسحابُ الكاملُ للاحتلالِ منْ قطاعِ غزة، ورفضُ مخططاتِ التهجيرِ ووقفُ الاستيطانِ وإرهاب ِالمستوطنينَ وسرقةِ الأرضِ والممتلكاتِ الفلسطينيةِ تحتَ مسمياتِ الضم، ووقف الاعتداءاتِ على الوضعِ التاريخي ِوالقانوني ِفي الأماكنِ المقدسِة وجميعُها أعمالٌ أحاديةٌ تقوضُ حل الدولتينِ في غزة والضفِة والقدس.
5) تولي دولةِ فلسطينَ مسؤولياتِها كاملة، بدءاً باللجنةِ الإداريةِ لقطاعِ غزة، التي يرأسُها وزيرٌ في الحكومِة الفلسطينية، لإدارةِ شؤونِ القطاعِ لفترةٍ مؤقتة، والربطُ مع الضفةِ الغربية، وكلُ ذلك بدعمٍ عربي ٍودولي ٍلحمايةِ المدنيينَ في غزة، ودعمُ القواتِ الفلسطينيةِ تحتَ مظلةِ الأممِ المتحدة، ولا يكونُ بديلاً عنها.
6) ضمانُ بقاءِ سكانِ قطاعِ غزةَ في أرضِهم دونَ تهجير، وتنفيذُ خطِة التعافي إعادةِ الإعمارِ في كلٍ منْ غزةَ والضفة.
7) الإفراجُ عنْ أموالِ الضرائبِ الفلسطينيةِ التي تحتجزُها إسرائيلُ دونَ حق، ورفعُ الحواجز والحصارِ الاقتصادي ِ عن المدنِ والقرى والمخيماتِ الفلسطينية.
8) دعمُ جهودنِا الوطنية في الإصلاح، وإجراءُ الانتخاباتِ الرئاسيةِ والبرلمانية خلال عام بعد انتهاءِ الحرب، وقد بدأتْ الإجراءات العمليةُ بتكليفِ لجنةِ صياغةِ الدستورِ المؤقتِ التي تُنهي أعمالَها خلال ثلاثة شهور، للانتقالِ منَ السلطةِ للدولة. إننا نريد دولةً ديمقراطيةً عصرية، تلتزمُ بالقانونِ الدولي ِوبسيادةِ القانونِ والتعدديةِ والانتقالِ السلمي للسلطة وتحرصُ على تمكينِ المرأةِ والشباب.
سنطور المناهج التعليمية وفق معايير اليونسكو خلال عامين، وأنشأنا نظاماً موحداً للرعاية الاجتماعية والغينا نظام المدفوعات لعائلات الاسرى والشهداء وهو جاهز للتدقيق.
9) نعلن استعدادنا للعمل مع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، ومع المملكة العربية السعودية وفرنسا والأمم المتحدة وجميع الشركاء، لتنفيذ خطة السلام التي أقرت في المؤتمر المنعقد في 22 سبتمبر الماضي، بما يفتح الطريق نحو سلام عادل وتعاون إقليمي شامل.
السيدات والسادة،
نقولُها اليومَ بوضوح: لنْ يتحققَ السلام، ما لَمْ تَتَحققْ العدالة، ولنْ تكونَ هناكَ عدالةٌ ما لمْ تتحررْ فلسطين.
نريدُ أنْ نعيشَ بحريةٍ وأمنٍ وسلامٍ كبقيةِ شعوبِ الأرض، في دولةٍ مستقلةٍ ذاتِ سيادةٍ على حدودِ 1967، وعاصمتُها القدسُ الشرقية، في أمنٍ وسلامٍ معَ جيراننِا. نريدُ دولةً مدنيةً عصرية، خاليةً منَ العنفِ والسلاحِ والتطرف، تحترمُ القانونَ وحقوقَ الإنسان، وتستثمرُ في الإنسانِ والتنميةِ والتكنولوجيا والتعليم، لا في الحروب والنزاعات.
وقد آن الأوانُ لأنْ يُنصفَ المجتمعُ الدوليُ الشعبَ الفلسطيني، لينالَ حقوقَه المشروعةَ في الخلاصِ منَ الاحتلال، ولا يبقى رهينةً لمزاجِ السياسةِ الإسرائيلية، التي تنكرُ علينا حقوقَنا الأساسيةَ وتُواصلُ الظلمَ والقهرَ والعدوان.
نحنُ ماضونَ في طريقنِا، وسنواصلُ النضالَ السلميَ والقانونيَ والدبلوماسيَ منْ أجلِ نيلِ حقوقنا.
وفي الختام نقولُ لأبنائنِا وبناتنا في الوطن، وفي المنافي والشتات: إنَّ الجراحَ مهما نزفت، وإنَّ المعاناةَ مهما طالت، فإنها لنْ تكسرَ فينا إرادةَ الحياةِ والبقاء. سيبزغُ فجرُ الحرية، وسيرفرفُ علمُ فلسطينَ عالياً في سمائِنا، رمزاً للكرامةِ والصمودِ والتحررِ منْ نيرِ الاحتلال.
فلسطينُ لنا، والقدسُ درّةُ قلوبِنا وعاصمتُنا الأبدية، لنْ نغادرَ وطننا، ولنْ نرحلَ عنْ أرضِنا، وسيبقى شعُبنا متجذراً كالزيتون، ثابتاً كالصخر، ينهضُ من تحتِ الركامِ ليبنيَ منْ جديد، ويرسلَ من أرضِهِ المباركةِ رسائلَ الأمل، وصوتَ الحق، وجسورَ السلامِ العادل، لشعوبِ منطقتِنا وللعالم بِأسرة.
