Ongoing Israeli aggression, mass displacement, and devastating toll on Palestinian women

(WAFAThe Government Communication Center at the Prime Minister's Office highlighted in its weekly situation report the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression, mass displacement in the West Bank, and the devastating toll on Palestinian women amid worsening humanitarian conditions.

The report highlighted the following updates:

Israel Continues to Block Humanitarian Aid to Gaza:

Human rights experts condemned Israeli decision to re-open ‘gates of hell’ and unilaterally change conditions of truce deal, warning that Israel is weaponizing starvation, with supplies running critically low. The WFP also reported it only has enough food supplies in the Gaza Strip to keep public kitchens open for less than two weeks only.

At least 12,298 Women Killed by Israeli Aggression on Gaza:

A new report marking International Women’s Day reveals the catastrophic impact of Israeli aggression on Palestinian women, with 12,298 women killed in Gaza and 928 Palestinians, including women and children, killed in the West Bank since October 2023.

Palestinian Women in Israeli Prisons:

A report for International Women’s Day reveals 21 Palestinian women remain in Israeli detention, including a pregnant woman, two children (one only 12 years old), and six teachers, a media student, and several ill female prisoners.

At least 40,000 Palestinians Forcibly Displaced from Jenin, Tulkarem, and Nur Shams:

UNRWA Chief Philippe Lazzarini described the Israeli aggression against the northern West Bank as “the single-longest and most destructive since the second intifada, resulting in the largest displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank since the 1967 war.

Occupied Northern West Bank Still Under Attack:

Israeli occupation forces have forcibly displaced 90% of Jenin refugee camp’s population, cut off food and essential supplies, and banned calls to prayer for the second consecutive week during Ramadan. Schools remain closed, 2,000 students deprived of education, and more than 500 homes and facilities have been partially or completely destroyed. The Israeli occupation forces' (IOF) aggression against Jenin City and its refugee camp continues for 49 consecutive days, against Tulkarm city and its refugee camp for 43 consecutive days, and against Nour Shams refugee camp for 30 days.

Israeli Land Grab Intensifies:

Over 9,000 Settlement Units Advanced in 2025: A new Peace Now report reveals that Israel has intensified annexation, with systemic efforts to diminish Palestinian presence and rights. It advanced 9,884 settlement units in 2024 and preparing to advance another 1,408 settlement units this month. Settler violence is at an all-time high, with 1,400 terror attacks recorded last year.

Emergency Arab Summit Endorses Palestinian Vision:

The Cairo Summit reaffirmed absolute rejection of forced displacement and annexation, and endorsed the Gaza reconstruction plan presented by Egypt, in full coordination with the State of Palestine and Arab countries. The summit also called for full implementation of the ceasefire agreement and an end to the Israeli aggression on the occupied West Bank.
