In light of the changes in the international relations and the transformation that followed the inauguration of US President Donald Trump at the White House, and the difficult situations in the Arab region, and before the Arab summit held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the eve of the upcoming meeting between President Mahmoud Abbas and US President Donald Trump, Palestinian diplomacy has intensified its activities and action, in order to reaffirm the importance of the Palestinian case and the need to prioritize it in order to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, also to gain support to the Palestinian position of legitimate and fair rights to our people. In this context, President Abbas and his Foreign Minister have stressed the need to increase their calls and meetings with several officials from Arab countries, to coordinate Arab efforts to strengthen the Arab front supporting the Palestinian cause, as the first cause of the Arabs. Also, to ensure its strong presence on the US-Arab agenda, down to hold a successful Arab summit, that leads to outcomes in the interest of the Palestinian cause; which affirms the Arab leader’s interest in resolving the Palestinian cause, and their commitment to Palestinian legitimacy represented by President Mahmoud Abbas.

Concerning the recent move in the international arena, the Palestinian diplomacy has stepped up in various arenas, particularly with European officials, to coordinate positions and strengthen the support for the cause of our people and to emphasize the Palestinian position calling for a political negotiations to resolve the conflict based on the two-state solution, reaffirming the centrality of the European Union in supporting the Palestinian cause, to guarantee American and international support that will lead to real and serious negotiations, and a peace process to end the occupation, that will lead to the establishment of a viable, and sovereign Palestinian state.
