The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine strongly condemns the decision to cut off electricity to the Gaza Strip and considers this an escalation of Israel’s war of genocide, forced displacement, and humanitarian catastrophe affecting every aspect of life for the people of Gaza. This decision comes as the Israeli occupation persists in preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid to more than 2 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, who are suffering the most horrific forms of ethnic cleansing.

The international community is fully responsible for any failure to act swiftly to save civilian lives.
