The General Delegation of Palestine was proud to participate once again in the National Multicultural Festival in Canberra. This year, the Embassy stall highlighted the Right to Education, a fundamental right which remains under attack across occupied Palestine.

On 22 September, the United Nations will resume the High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia. The Conference will reaffirm international commitments to the two-State solution and seek to mobilize support for its implementation.

The General Delegation of Palestine met with a delegation from Amnesty International Australia during their visit to Canberra.

The General Delegation of Palestine was pleased to host a group of 35+ members of our Palestinian community from Gaza, who recently came to Australia. The Chargé d’Affaires of the State of Palestine welcomed the delegation, expressing appreciation for their resilience and reaffirming the Palestinian Embassy’s commitment to continue providing support (including consular services) for the Palestinian community.

The State of Palestine has submitted a written plea to the International Court of Justice regarding the request for an advisory opinion on the obligations of Israel, as the occupying power, in relation to the presence and activities of the UN, other international organizations, and third states in and in relation to the occupied Palestinian territories.
