International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, in cooperation with Falesteen Inc.
On 16 December, the General Delegation of Palestine, in partnership with Falesteen Inc., observed the UN International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People at the United Workers Union in Brisbane, Queensland.
His Excellency Izzat Abdulhadi, Ambassador of the State of Palestine and Head of the General Delegation of Palestine, spoke on the occasion, focusing on the catastrophic situation in Gaza and calling for an immediate permanent ceasefire. The Ambassador also emphasised the important significance of the massive global solidarity and support for the rights and just cause of the Palestinian people.
Other speakers at the event included Omar Ashour (Falesteen Inc), Graham Perrett MP, former Senator Claire Moore, Wendy Turner (Unionist), and Muhammad Khatree (Queensland Muslims Inc).
