Embassy staff attended an round table discussion held at the Australian National University on the topic of "the fascination with Arab women and their lives; the misconceptions that abound; and how Arab women respond".
The discussion was centered around the forthcoming book by Palestinian-Australian writer Amal Awad, with the round table also featuring prominent Arab feminist figures Joumanah El Matrah and Raihan Ismail.
