United Nations International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People event

The embassy, in cooperation with the United Nations Information Centre, hosted the United Nations International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People event.
The event was a wonderful success, with an excellent speech by the keynote speaker HE Dr Afif Safieh, an incredible dance performance by the Canberra Palestinian Community Dabkeh group, the reading of the United Nations Secretary-General's message on marking the day, and additional speeches by Ambassador Abdulhadi and the Dean of the Council of Arab Ambassadors. The event was eloquently MC'd by Diana Abdel-Rahman.
