International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People at Beehive Parliament Wellington
On December 6, the Palestinian Ambassador participated in the commemoration of the United Nations International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People at New Zealand Parliament in Wellington, organised by Palestinian Youth Aotearoa and hosted by Golriz Ghahraman MP.
The event was attended by a number of MP’s, Diplomats, Solidarity Groups and members of the Palestinian community. Speeches delivered by the Palestinian Ambassador, Golriz Ghahraman MP, and Rachel Boyack MP condemned Israel’s gross violations of human rights and reaffirmed the significance of self-determination and statehood for the Palestinian people.
It was wonderful to see the active participation of Palestinian youth in particular, and their determined advocacy for ending Israel’s illegal occupation, colonisation, and apartheid regime in Palestine.
