Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Nakba

Ambassador Abdulhadi and the staff of the Palestinian Embassy actively participated in many of events commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba (Catastrophe).
These events included rallies in Sydney and Canberra, a function organized by Palestinian Christians in Australia (PCIA) in Sydney, a function organized by the Victoria branch of the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union (AMWU) in Melbourne, a function organized by the the United Australian Palestinian Workers in Sydney, and others.
The Ambassador presented a number of speeches on the occasion. He lamented the catastrophic tragedies of 1948 and the past 75 years of ongoing Nakba, while also highlighting the incredible courage and steadfastness of the Palestinian people. For 75 years of Nakba, the Palestinian people have responded with continuous resistance, fighting for liberation and the inalienable right to self-determination and statehood.
