On the Occasion of Easter
The Palestinian Embassy in Canberra would like to send its warmest congratulations to the people of Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands and Palestine on the occasion of Easter.
Jesus Christ was born in the Palestinian city of Bethlehem where the Church of Nativity is located and resurrected in the Palestinian city of Jerusalem, the location of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
The journey taken by Jesus Christ and the resilience he demonstrated, mirrors that of the resilience of the Palestinian people. This resilience and strength shown, is particularly important and admirable during these difficult and challenging circumstances, especially now in light of COVID-19. Yet, it is this resilience and determination that will continue to carry the Palestinian people through towards a safe future of justice, peace and human rights.
The Palestinian Embassy would like to particularly express its wishes and support to everyone during these challenging times and wishes everyone a safe and happy Easter.
