The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine welcomes the latest report of the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, entitled “Gaza Genocide: A Collective Crime”. Decades of impunity and double standards have emboldened Israel to commit systematic and grave violations of international law. Third States' failure to uphold their legal obligations, by providing diplomatic cover, political protection, and military and economic support, has turned the Gaza genocide into a collective crime.

Attacks have escalated with the start of the annual olive harvest season, and are part of a systematic state-led campaign of violence. During this period, Israeli settlers and armed forces regularly block access to farmlands, assault farmers, and destroy olive trees, causing significant financial losses for rural families and harming the Palestinian economy.
