The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine welcomes the announcement of Canada's intention to recognize the State of Palestine this coming September. This courageous and principled decision is a reaffirmation of the international consensus on the two-state solution and marks a significant step towards justice, peace, and the long-overdue realization of the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination.

For the first time in history, the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) has unanimously adopted a resolution concerning the situation of Palestinian women, affirming that the unlawful Israeli occupation is a primary obstacle to achieving freedom, development, and progress for Palestinian women.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine welcomes the announcement by Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom’s intention to recognize the State of Palestine this coming September; considers this a courageous step that places the UK on the right side of history.

The new report issued by Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem states: “An examination of Israel’s policy in the Gaza Strip and its horrific outcomes, together with statements by senior Israeli politicians and military commanders about the goals of the attack, leads us to the unequivocal conclusion that Israel is taking coordinated action to intentionally destroy Palestinian society in the Gaza Strip.”

Address of Palestinian Prime Minister Dr Mohammad Mustafa at the commencement of the UN High-Level International Conference on The Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, in New York: "The idea that peace and security can be achieved by the destruction or subjugation of our people is a deadly illusion. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warmly welcomes the decision of His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of France, to recognize the State of Palestine as an expression of commitment to international law, by embarking on a political pathway to resolve the conflict on the basis of implementing the two-state solution, in accordance with relevant United Nations’ resolutions and achieving a lasting peace in the region and around the world.

Joint Statement: Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee condemns Israeli Knesset’s approval of declaration calling for imposition of so-called "Israeli sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank, considering it a blatant and unacceptable violation of international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions; reaffirms that Israel has no sovereignty over the Occupied Palestinian Territory and that this unilateral Israeli move has no legal effect, and only serves to fuel tension in the region.

UN experts alarmed at Israel’s deliberate withholding of access to safe drinking water from Palestinians in Gaza, calling it a serious violation of international law and a crime against humanity. “Israel’s acts right now in Gaza are barbaric, and the related actions of Government officials constitute crimes under the Rome Statute: extermination is committed by cutting off the supply of medicine, food and water,” the experts said. "How can world leaders sleep while this suffering continues?”
