Ambassador Izzat Abdulhadi met with a Melbourne based Australian NGO (Global Gardens of Peace) on August 30th 2016 in Ramallah to discuss the establishment of a community based garden in Gaza, covering 32.000 square meter of land in Khan Younis (Garden of Peace).

Australians for Justice and Peace in Palestine (AJPP) has shown the idol Film in Canberra. The "Idol" describes the mountainous journey of Mohammad Assaf (Arab Idol in the year 2014) from Gaza strip to Cairo to participate in the Arab Idol competition.
