PLO Executive Committee Dr. Hanan Ashrawi on Netanyahu’s persistent distortions and violations
In a statement on Netanyahu’s persistent distortions and violations, PLO Executive Committee Member Dr. Hanan Ashrawi said:
"Netanyahu continues to engage in a discourse of deception and falsehood in which he also dishonestly accuses the Palestinian side, in particular President Mahmoud Abbas and the leadership, of incitement and spreading untruths. While Netanyahu exercises a language of hate and violence and carries out acts of extreme provocation, it has become clear that Netanyahu is the one who indulges in dangerous lies and active incitement. He engages in distortions and obfuscations on all fronts (we did not need the Hitler episode to prove that) in order to slander and dehumanize the Palestinians and to avoid dealing with the consequences for his own actions.
The time has come to put an end to such hallucinations and dangerous extremism. Clearly, there is a need for intervention and the identification of effective remedies, not only for the prevailing serious conditions, but also for the person who created them.”
