Celebrating the Day of Independence at Parliament House in Sydney
Ambassador of the State of Palestine H.E. Izzat Abdulhadi celebrated Independence Day with the Palestinian People in Sydney on the 11th of November 2015, in an event organized by the Council of Australian Palestinians (CAP) which, commemorated the late martyred President Yasser Arafat.
Bi-lateral Cooperation with Australian Federal MPs and Senators
The programme of work with the members of the Federal Parliament resumed in 2015. The Ambassador of the State of Palestine Mr. Izzat Abdulhadi met with a number of MPs and senators in Parliament to discuss the political situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, particularly the root causes of the current wave of violence and the continued Israeli Occupation and oppressive practices against the Palestinian people. Repeated systematic violence is used and still being employed by the Occupying power against the Palestinian people, especially the continuing settlement activity and continued violations of religious rights of the Palestinians in the Haram Al-Sharif area.
New Israeli Settlement Bids Undermine Peace, says Foreign Ministry
JERUSALEM, November 9, 2015 (WAFA) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in a statement released on Monday the Israeli government’s approval of the construction of 2,200 new housing units in two West Bank settlements, as well as a plan to organize two settlement outposts.
It said the Israeli decision undermines any chance of a two-state solution and attempts to revive peace talks.
